Warren Statement on Woburn Teachers Strike

Boston, MA – U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) released the following statement about the Woburn teachers strike:

“As a former public school teacher, I know how hard teachers work. The historic challenges that educators and students have faced over the past few years have only made these important roles even more difficult. Woburn teachers and communities across the Commonwealth need adequate resources to ensure every student receives a first-rate education.

“The city needs to sit at the bargaining table and remain there until they come to an agreement that reflects the important work our educators do and supports the needs of our children. I urge the educators and administrators in Woburn to sit at the bargaining table and negotiate with urgency so our students can get back in the classroom.”
