Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Tim Sheehy are vowing to “fight tooth and nail” to keep right-to-repair provisions in this year’s NDAA, a year after the proposals were stripped out in final negotiations of the policy bill.
For the second consecutive year, the senators successfully lobbied SASC members to insert a series of measures into the legislation designed to force defense firms to share parts and technical information with troops. Pentagon officials have voiced support for the idea but have faced significant resistance from industry leaders.
