Happy 6th Birthday, CFPB!

For six years, this agency has had one mission: to take the tricks and traps out of mortgages, credit cards, student loans and other financial products so we can level the playing field for working people. And it’s worked – the agency has returned nearly $12 billion to working families who were cheated. The big banks have been against the CFPB from day one, and their armies of lawyers and lobbyists are doing they can to weaken this agency. We'll need to have the CFPB's back as Wall Street's buddies in Congress try to roll back the rules. But today: we celebrate. Happy Birthday, CFPB.
