Statement from Senator Warren on ACA Cost-Sharing Payments

Washington, DC - United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) released the below statement today following the announcement that President Trump plans to end federal cost-sharing payments that are vital to covering lower-income Americans under the Affordable Care Act (ACA):

"Cutting off payments that help low-income families afford health insurance is petty, cruel, and just plain dumb. Republican and Democratic governors from around the country have urged Congress to hold down premiums. Congress should listen to them and act to stop President Trump from following through on his threat to burn our health insurance system to the ground."
