Statement from Senator Elizabeth Warren on Trump Administration's Repeal of Clean Power Plan
Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) issued the following statement in response to the Environmental Protection Agency's announcement that it will begin the process to repeal the 2015 Clean Power Plan:
"The Clean Power Plan is about one thing: stopping big corporations from dumping dangerous amounts of carbon pollution into our air. But this Administration's only priority seems to be stuffing the pockets of Big Oil and Big Coal executives while American families are left to suffer the consequences."
"Make no mistake, President Trump wants a fight. Administrator Pruitt wants a fight. Well, they've got one - because the American people won't back down from the fight to protect the health of our children and grandchildren, to build a clean energy economy, and to safeguard the future of our planet."
