GAO INVESTIGATES

The Government Accountability Office agreed to look into the Education Department's transfer of career and technical education and adult education grant programs to the Labor Department, according to Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren's office, Isa writes in.

This comes after Warren and top Democrats in Appropriations and Education - Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) - urged the GAO to launch an investigation into the interagency transfer last month, saying the move "delayed crucial funding that millions of students and schools rely on."
