Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) tracked down the New Yorker who went viral this week for ranting about private equity landlords during a local news interview. In a video shared with HuffPost, she called him to discuss her new bill, which would rein in hedge-fund slumlords.
The city resident, whose identity is unclear, was approached Monday by NBC 4 New York for a light-hearted conversation about the weather. Instead, he bashed private equity ownership of housing and tied it to people not being able to afford rent.
